OUR STORY
At Kerriston Coffee Roasters, we believe that anything worth searching for in the present requires a nod to the past.
Kerriston, once an important logging and mining town, was located just miles from what we now call our roasting facility. Today, Kerriston Coffee serves as a daily tribute to the historic town, where we craft small-batch, artisan coffee to serve our friends and neighbors. It's what we've been doing for two generations, and what we'll continue doing for generations to come.
See, the things we do at Kerriston Coffee Roasters are done with love, intention, and an appreciation for what came before. We'll never lose the smallness and intimacy of our craft because we know that - when it's done just right - it will bring people together and create something worth searching for.
“It all began in 1986 when I was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea with the United States Navy. I can trace my love and passion for great coffee to my favorite Port of Call in Trieste, Italy, where I tried espresso for the first time. THE BARISTA was kind enough to indulge my curiosity, teaching me all about the process. he had no idea what he’d sparked in me, but i left that shop knowing i’d open my own espresso bar when I returned to the states. 30 years later, I now understand how my old friend in Trieste felt when I asked him about his coffee, because today I feel the same way when people ask me about mine.”
